-what is the focus? where and what do you want the audience to look at?

-do you have enough information or reference to go by?

-do you understand what it is you are drawing?

-have you thumbnailed all the possiblities?
(staging/lighting, character poses, the focus point, color schematics, etc.)

-is everything clear and readable?

-is your drawing too complex to too simple?
