Here's an assignment I did for the Disney Design Group (DDG) as an entrance exam.
They wanted me to create and design a SNOW GLOBE concept using the WB characters riding the Universal's Hulk attraction. - TAo!

Here's the pencil drawing of the character level I designed.

This is the snowglobe concept.

Here's the final color and rendering
of the character level I did in photoshop.

Again, I used photoshop for coloring, compositing, and
creating the final snowglobe design-

Here are some drawings I did to help me get in as a freelance artist for the Disney Design Group. -TAo!

This is called- "Alien Contact".

I don't know what inspired me to draw this...
I just wanted to do something that shows a
comic/development type style drawing.

Lighting and design was my focus for this piece,
the mood is extremely important too,
and there is some story to this:
The female scientist is not afraid to reach out to
her alien captive and the alien creature feels comfortable
even though he's a prisoner.

Drawn by hand (roughly 8 x 10 in size),
zeroxed, scanned, and filled in photoshop.

I really like Comic Art a lot.
I did this drawing for the San Diego Comic-con
International program book in 2001.
We had several subject matters to choose from that year:
WonderWoman, The Fantastic Four, Bones,
Captain America, and Lord Of The Rings.

I chose The Fantastic Four because it had multiple characters.
When I first started the drawing, I tried to imagine what it would be like
working for Marvel Comics and came up with this version.
I'd say I had more of a Jim Lee influence
with a touch of my own sci-fi spacey look.
I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
My only regret is not seeing it fully colored.
